Pickler, who was born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June of 1986, went through a difficult childhood. She was abandoned by her mother when she was just two years old to avoid the abuse of her partner. In 1995, she was returned back to the world of Pickler, and took the custody rights. However, things didn't work out the way she had hoped. Pickler's grandparents raised her from the age of 12 until adulthood. With the loss of their parents Pickler got too involved in being a parent to her siblings. Pickler admitted she didn't get enough time for school and began learning to be a domestic worker in the early years. Pickler was a member of her middle school and high school's cheerleading squad.
