Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has won numerous awards for her works. She advocates the rights of animals. The actress has won praise by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). The daughter of a family of artists in New York she wished to be a part of the art. In the beginning she began as an assistant to photographers. Later on her work changed into directing and modeling. Her name was highlighted in her two first films and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most Popular newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 feature film Love Story was an international success, earning her an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. Within three years, she had been voted as the number one female box-office starter in the world. In 1972, her foot-prints and autograph were recorded on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. The other films she's appeared in include The Getaway Convoy Players as in the mini-series on TV The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography by her, was released. MacGraw married three people.
